This price was achieved in the auction BERTOIA: The Sonambient Barn Collection at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Bertoia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Screen From One Marine Midland Center, Buffalo, New York, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
