Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Yeats: The Family Collection, which included the work P.S. O'Hegarty by Harry Kernoff. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,694.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Kernoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Death in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Yeats: The Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit P.S. O'Hegarty von Harry Kernoff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.694,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Kernoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Death im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
