Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art Now and Ten, which included the work The Interpreter by Hayv Kahraman. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,359.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hayv Kahraman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Kawliya Dance, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 133,913.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art Now and Ten durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Interpreter von Hayv Kahraman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.359,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hayv Kahraman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Kawliya Dance beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 118.750,00 (€ 133.913,36) versteigert wurde.
