Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,778.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Helen Thomas Dranga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Banana Tree Grove in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,996.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marshall Islands Men in a Canoe Using a Navigation Chart von Helen Thomas Dranga wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Art of Hawaiʻi bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.778,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
