Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An earthenware jug, a bottle, copper pans and a broom in the corner of a barn by Henri Adolphe Laissement was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,418.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Adolphe Laissement achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Au Salon des Artistes Français en 1911 in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 125,062.00 (€ 141,117.64).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.418,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Adolphe Laissement erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Au Salon des Artistes Français en 1911 im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.062,00 (€ 141.117,64).
