In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction European Art Part II, which included the work Fleur-Femme by Henri Godet. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,585.90) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Godet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le ravissement de Psyché (after William Bouguereau) in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,139.09).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fleur-Femme von Henri Godet zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.585,90) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Godet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le ravissement de Psyché (after William Bouguereau) im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.139,09).
