Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Henri Lebasque could be acquired at Christies in Paris in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Ann & Gordon Getty: Wheatland Online auction, the work Nature morte au panier de fruits changed hands for USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,922.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Lebasque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,022,500.00 (€ 711,254.87).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

In der Auktion The Collection of Ann & Gordon Getty: Wheatland Online wechselte die Arbeit Nature morte au panier de fruits für USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.922,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Lebasque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.022.500,00 (€ 711.254,87).
