Auction result well in line with expectations

In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work 'Sculptress' & 'The Painter', 1901 by Henri Privat-Livemont. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,272.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Privat-Livemont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Absinthe Robette, 1896, which sold at auction in June 2011 for EUR 3,500.00.

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Sculptress' & 'The Painter', 1901 von Henri Privat-Livemont zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.272,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Privat-Livemont mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Absinthe Robette, 1896 beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für EUR 3.500,00 versteigert wurde.
