Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Ring by Henrietta Rae was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in September 2005. It achieved a price of AUD 4,780.00 (€ 3,029.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henrietta Rae achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sirens in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 107,589.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Ring von Henrietta Rae kam im September 2005 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 4.780,00 (€ 3.029,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henrietta Rae erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sirens im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 107.589,05).
