Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work A North African Fellah by Henriette Bouteiller Browne. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,550.00 (€ 34,103.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henriette Bouteiller Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Visit: A Harem Interior in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 795,000.00 (€ 914,522.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A North African Fellah von Henriette Bouteiller Browne zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.550,00 (€ 34.103,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henriette Bouteiller Browne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Visit: A Harem Interior im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 795.000,00 (€ 914.522,14).
