This artwork by Henry Aloysius Hankey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work The Old and The New, Hunter Street, Sydney sold for AUD 9,840.00 (€ 6,402.72) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Aloysius Hankey; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arrival of First Fleet, Sydney Cove sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of AUD 13,145.00 (€ 7,680.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Aloysius Hankey erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit The Old and The New, Hunter Street, Sydney für AUD 9.840,00 (€ 6.402,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 4.000,00.
