In the VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work Windsor Castle, Sunrise sold for GBP 27,485.00 (€ 42,513.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Dawson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Durham Cathedral From The River sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,380.70).
