Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Livens could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work Summer Flowers And A Bird'S Nest With Eggs On A Mossy Bank changed hands for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,218.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Henry Livens have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2002 by the work Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank at GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98).
