Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 575.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Weigall Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Florence Stephenson, née Pearse, in a brown dress with white sleeves and black feathered hat in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,639.93).
