In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Indonesian Art, which included the work Baby orang utan by Hilda May Gordon. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 780.00 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hilda May Gordon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Krim Singaradja sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of EUR 1,187.50.

Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Indonesian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Baby orang utan von Hilda May Gordon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 780,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hilda May Gordon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Krim Singaradja im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.187,50.
