This artwork by Honoré Daumier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March this year. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work Recto : Cri D'Alarme Sur La Grève ; Verso : Etude Pour Le Bas De La Robe D'Un Avocat sold for EUR 40,672 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Honoré Daumier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000 (€ 2,024,176).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Honoré Daumier erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Recto : Cri D'Alarme Sur La Grève ; Verso : Etude Pour Le Bas De La Robe D'Un Avocat für EUR 40.672 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Honoré Daumier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000 (€ 2.024.176).
