Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tea bowls by Hoon Kwak was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,797.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hoon Kwak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea Bowls, 2003 in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,808.70).

Die Arbeit Tea bowls von Hoon Kwak wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.280,00 (€ 1.797,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hoon Kwak erzielen.
