In July 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Dance of Death (San Pedro) by H. C. Westermann. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,046.17), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).

Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dance of Death (San Pedro) von H. C. Westermann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.046,17) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
