This artwork by Horace van Ruith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2014. In the Topographical Pictures auction, the work A street seller in Bombay sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 27,133.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horace van Ruith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (A Brahmin Household) in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 384,500.00 (€ 359,412.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Horace van Ruith erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Topographical Pictures wurde die Arbeit A street seller in Bombay für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 27.133,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horace van Ruith erzielen.
