The »bidding war« ended at AUD 8,540.00 (€ 7,287.93), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Howard Taylor; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Rainbow Veil, 1976 sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of AUD 9,225.00 (€ 8,173.12).
