Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction A Historical Collection of East Asian Politics and Arts in Early 20th Century, which included the work Calligraphy by Hu Lancheng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 16,000.00 – 26,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 18,400.00 (€ 1,711.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Lancheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,303.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion A Historical Collection of East Asian Politics and Arts in Early 20th Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Hu Lancheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 16.000,00 – 26.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 18.400,00 (€ 1.711,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Lancheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.303,67).
