Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portraits Of Ladies, by Hu Xigui was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in December 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,868.00 (€ 2,276.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Xigui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00).

Die Arbeit Portraits Of Ladies, von Hu Xigui wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.868,00 (€ 2.276,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Xigui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00).
