Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Huang Siyong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,000.00 (€ 4,020.12), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Huang Siyong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Huang Siyong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 4.020,12) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Siyong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70).
