Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Washerwomen by a pool before the ruins of a palace; Figures resting by a portico with a statue of a woman by Hubert Robert was sold in the Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 352,800.00 (€ 328,767.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hubert Robert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colonnade Et Jardins du Palais Médici: Gentlemen Sketching In An Italianate Garden; And Restes du Palais du Pape Jules: An Architectural Capriccio With Haymakers in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,368,000.00 (€ 4,930,357.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Washerwomen by a pool before the ruins of a palace; Figures resting by a portico with a statue of a woman von Hubert Robert wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
