Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work The Boathouse by Hugh Boycott Brown. The price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 672.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Hugh Boycott Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,698.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Boathouse von Hugh Boycott Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 672,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugh Boycott Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.698,37).
