It achieved a price of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,567.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo Golli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Gondoliers on a Venetian backwater sold at auction in October 2011 with the realized price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,497.22).
