Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art, which included the work A lake view by Hugo Simberg. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,547.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Simberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Seascape In Moonlight"., which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 66,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lake view von Hugo Simberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.547,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Simberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Seascape In Moonlight". beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 66.000,00 versteigert wurde.
