Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings, which included the work The House In The Woods No.2 by Humphrey Jennings. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,634.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Humphrey Jennings - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tableau Parisien, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
