Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Week End by Nyoman Masriadi. The price achieved of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 109,525.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nyoman Masriadi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
