This price was achieved in the auction Boulle to Jansen: An Important Private European Collection at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ignacio Zuloaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish madame Souty Reclinada En Un Sofa (Madame Souty) in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 832,646.34).
