Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Igor Ershov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2008. In the Russian Art auction, the work Apostle; and The artist's desk sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,110.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Igor Ershov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A group of eleven illustrations for the Khorovod book of Russian fairytales sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,164.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Igor Ershov erzielte im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Apostle; and The artist's desk für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.110,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Igor Ershov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A group of eleven illustrations for the Khorovod book of Russian fairytales im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 7.250,00 (€ 9.164,24).
