Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Hungarian sun – Bird – Face (Mirroring) by Imre Bak. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,459.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Imre Bak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Breaking Out (Diptych) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 51,143.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian sun – Bird – Face (Mirroring) von Imre Bak zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.459,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Imre Bak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Breaking Out (Diptych) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 51.143,06).
