Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work A Double Portrait by Inez Walker for USD 375.00 (€ 277.78). This price was achieved in the auction Important American Furniture, Folk Art & Decorative Arts at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Inez Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in January 2003 with an auction result of USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,893.19).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Inez Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.107,00 (€ 2.893,19).
