Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of an Indian woman by Irma Stern was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 16,312.50 (€ 18,113.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irma Stern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lelemana Dance in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,222,750.00 (€ 1,448,628.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of an Indian woman von Irma Stern kam im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.312,50 (€ 18.113,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irma Stern erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lelemana Dance im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.222.750,00 (€ 1.448.628,51).
