Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a man in a blue suit by Ivan Aguéli was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 120,000.00 – 140,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 95,000.00 (€ 9,087.52). Admittedly, works by Ivan Aguéli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Palmlund" (Palm grove) in June 2019 with an auction result of SEK 900,000.00 (€ 85,691.53).
