Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Het rode water by Jaap Hillenius was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2016. The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Hillenius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 6,850.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Het rode water von Jaap Hillenius wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Hillenius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 6.850,00 versteigert wurde.
