Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A view along a town street with figures by Jacobus Vrel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 352,800.00 (€ 413,731.15), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacobus Vrel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cobbled Street In A Town With People Conversing, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 838,000.00 (€ 939,582.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view along a town street with figures von Jacobus Vrel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 413.731,15) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacobus Vrel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Cobbled Street In A Town With People Conversing beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 838.000,00 (€ 939.582,27) versteigert wurde.
