In May last year Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Etudes Pour Les Musiciens by Jacques Azema. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 9,840.00 (€ 981.16), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Azema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hammam, 1960 in December 2021 with an auction result of MAD 130,000.00 (€ 12,290.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Etudes Pour Les Musiciens von Jacques Azema zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 9.840,00 (€ 981,16) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Azema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hammam, 1960 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von MAD 130.000,00 (€ 12.290,16).
