Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Village marocain by Jacques Azema was worth EUR 10,710.00 to a buyer in March 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacques Azema; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hammam, 1960 sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of MAD 130,000.00 (€ 12,290.16).

Die Arbeit Village marocain von Jacques Azema war einem Käufer im März 2021 EUR 10.710,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jacques Azema; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hammam, 1960 im Dezember 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von MAD 130.000,00 (€ 12.290,16).
