The price achieved of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 57,614.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Barraband - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Troisième variété du perroquet cendré - The Grey Parrot - Psittacus erithacus., which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 91,750.00 (€ 145,435.04).
