Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Undecided'; And 'Equal Shares': A Swagman And His Dog In The Bush by James Alfred Turner was sold in the Topographical Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,923.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Alfred Turner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On Guard in May 2004 with an auction result of AUD 101,575.00 (€ 59,347.00).
