This artwork by James Dixon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2002. In the THE IRISH SALE auction, the work A Picture in St. Colmcille's Hall sold for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,784.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by James Dixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Dixon erzielte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE IRISH SALE wurde die Arbeit A Picture in St. Colmcille's Hall für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.784,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Dixon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 19.699,14).
