Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Untitled (Krishna, Balarama and three cows) by Jamini Roy was sold in the The Jamini Roy Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in January 2024. The price achieved of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 21,422.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamini Roy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Dralha) in September last year with an auction result of USD 579,600.00 (€ 592,456.30).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Untitled (Krishna, Balarama and three cows) von Jamini Roy wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion The Jamini Roy Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 21.422,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamini Roy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Dralha) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 579.600,00 (€ 592.456,30).
