Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 1,088.00 (€ 1,820.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamini Roy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Dralha) in September last year with an auction result of USD 579,600.00 (€ 592,456.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Krishna playing Holi) von Jamini Roy kam im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.088,00 (€ 1.820,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamini Roy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Dralha) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 579.600,00 (€ 592.456,30).
