This artwork by Jan Boeckhorst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December this year. In the Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Head study of a young woman with a pearl earring sold for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 94,345.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Boeckhorst; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Alexander The Great Crowning Roxana sold at auction in January 2020 with the realized price of USD 150,000.00 (€ 135,220.41).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Boeckhorst erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Head study of a young woman with a pearl earring für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 94.345,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Boeckhorst; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Alexander The Great Crowning Roxana im Januar 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 135.220,41).
