In September 2001 Christies in London held the auction THE TRAVEL SALE, which included the work Rondebosch Common, Table Mountain beyond by Jan Ernst Abraham Volschenk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,173.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rondebosch Common, Table Mountain beyond is the most expensive artwork by Jan Ernst Abraham Volschenk that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE TRAVEL SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rondebosch Common, Table Mountain beyond von Jan Ernst Abraham Volschenk zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.173,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
