In the THE ROYAL & SUNALLIANCE COLLECTION auction, the work Canal scene sold for GBP 660.00 (€ 974.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Knikker Sen. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A panoramic landscape with cows along a river, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 2,629.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Knikker Sen. erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE ROYAL & SUNALLIANCE COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit Canal scene für GBP 660,00 (€ 974,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Sen. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A panoramic landscape with cows along a river beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert wurde.
