Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Rauchwerger could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work Still Life changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,182.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Rauchwerger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,939.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Rauchwerger konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Israeli & International Art wechselte die Arbeit Still Life für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.182,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Rauchwerger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.939,29) versteigert wurde.
