In October 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work A view of Hattem by Jan Voerman Sr.. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Voerman Sr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 42,250.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of Hattem von Jan Voerman Sr. zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Voerman Sr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.250,00.
