Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coddle by Janine Antoni was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2006. The price achieved of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,922.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Janine Antoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gnaw in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 218,696.40).

Die Arbeit Coddle von Janine Antoni kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.922,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Janine Antoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gnaw im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 218.696,40).
